GeekGear World of Wizardry Harry Potter box September 2016

Hello you beauties!

As you all may know, I used to subscribe to the 'My Little Box' beauty boxes, but I have swapped that box for an even cooler Harry Potter subscription box. While I know it's not beauty related, I thought I would still write my monthly reviews on it, as I know some of you may still be interested in it.

This box costs: £19.99 + £2.99 p&p
There are 8 items in this box

You get to choose the house you want for the box, or choose to have a mixture. Obviously I'm a Slytherin, and so as soon as I opened the box, I saw the green tissue paper showing my house colour, holding the surprises together with a lovely 'Dark Mark' sticker.

The first item that stood out in this month's box was a lovely t-shirt. The t-shirt was an Ollivander's t-shirt and I have worn it as much as I can already. I was unsure what size to choose so I went with a size bigger than I usually get, and it's huge on me, so it's a good job I love wearing baggy clothes. It feels and looks great though and I am extremely happy with this first product.

Next is another major product in the box - Voldemort's wand! When I went to 'The Making of Harry Potter' for the first time back in June, I bought Hermione Granger's wand then and have wanted to add to my miniscule collection of wands since then. Even though they're not of the same brand, I'm so happy to have another major wand in my collection and I hope there will be more to come in the future.

The next item is a large-ish badge that says 'Proud to be a Slytherin' with the Slytherin snake on it. This is a lovely addition to the box, but because the badge is so big, I doubt I'll wear it out of the house. I'm just going to find a special place to display it in my house.

Then I pulled out a Hogwarts tea towel! The design of this product is really special - with 'Hogwarts written on it and part of the castle drawn around it. I doubt I will use this much now, I might save it for if I ever get to go to university but I do honestly believe this is a lovely addition to the box, and is a decent sized towel.

One product I was extremely excited to see was the Marauders Map! Both my brother and I have always always wanted one of these, and now I finally have one! The quality of it is great - whilst you can't actually see people walking around on it, the detail put into the actual map and outline of the castle is brilliant, and the feel of the product is great. It is made of extremely glossy paper which I feel will make it last a whole lot longer.

Next is a cardboard glossy Azkaban Poster, which I am actually very happy about. It is very cartoon like but also very detailed and a decent size too. I have a lot of posters on my wall already, so I will probably save this for when I go to university to decorate my room, but I am very happy with the inclusion of posters in this subscription box, and I feel like it will last for a very long time.

I must have actually screamed when I saw the Hogwarts Letters in the box this month. They're so detailed and look so life like, and they gave us two as well, so it's a great idea to send one to a friend! My brother loves Harry Potter just as much as I do, so I decided to 'send' one of these letters to him and he loved it. It's a great addition to my Harry Potter merchandise collection.

The final product in this box, and again a pretty amazing product, is a Deathly Hallows Necklace! I have honestly ALWAYS wanted one of these and now I finally have one! What more, the part of the Resurrection Stone can actually turn, which I find makes this even more unique. The chain is a decent length and the fact that it is silver makes it a brilliant item, and I cannot wait to wear it more in the future.

I cannot begin to describe how much I love this box. While I love my beauty subscription boxes for the makeup additions to my collection each month, this Harry Potter box gives me an acceptable excuse to 'geek out' once a month while getting great and decent quality products for such a low price each month. I already cannot wait for next month's box already, and I would definitely recommend that you all treat yourself to this box as well. But be quick! As you can imagine, this box sells out extremely quickly (usually within a couple of weeks).

I'll be back on Saturday with my monthly favourites for you all!

Look Incredible Beauty Box Review September 2016

Hello you beauties!

It is time again for another beauty box review for you all, and this time it is the lovely Look Incredible box. Well, when I say lovely, I mean I usually love this box but this month was the first time I actually felt disappointed with this company, but I'll get onto that later.
Price of box is £18.99 per monthAnd £2.50 P&P
There are 5 products in this month's box
This box is worth £80
The brands included in this box are: Make Up For Ever, Elizabeth Arden, Princess Marcella Borghese, Laura Geller and Too Faced

The first item that I noticed in the box was the Elizabeth Arden Makeup Blender (£10), which at first I was very happy to see. I hardly use makeup sponges - I never actually owned one until I received the Nanshy one in a previous box - so I have always been keen to try some more. Seeing this one with a handle was strange, as I have never seen these sorts of sponges before. And this sponge really is not easy to use. The sponge is so hard that it actually hurts when trying to blend in foundation, and even wetting the sponge slightly has no effect. I might try this out again in the future, but for now, I'm not a massive fan.

The next product was the Make Up For Ever Uplight Face Luminizer Gel (£25). I have heard about this brand before and heard great things and always wanted to try out their products. I hate to start my collection of their products so negatively. This product was definitely too dark for me, it was basically just water at one point which made it physically impossible to use. And the smell! It smelt disgusting that I think I may have hidden this product away somewhere so that I don't have to look at it again. This definitely is a product I'll never use again.

Now we're getting less negative again the products. I was excited to see Too Faced Exotic Colour Eyeshadow (£15), as I absolutely LOVE Too Faced products so I knew this one would be amazing. And it is. It is so creamy, and really pigmented. The only downside to this product is the shade I received. I received the shade 'Enchanted Garden', which is a glittery dark green shade, and I don't usually wear green eyeshadows. I would've preferred it in a more wearable shade, but I suppose because of how dark my one is, if I'm careful with it then I may be able to use it in a rare smokey eye.

Next I pulled out the Laura Geller Colour Enriched Lipstick (£16) in the shade '' which is a lovely deep plum colour, perfect for the coming Autumn and Winter months. I have never really worn lipsticks of this sort of shade before, so I am excited to try it out. I feel like this may become a staple in my makeup bag over the next few months as it is a great colour and feels so great when worn. I might try and buy some different shades of this lipstick in the future.

Finally, there is probably my most favourite item in the whole box. It is the Princess Marcella Borghese Superiore State of the Art mascara (£14). When I first saw this mascara in the box, I got annoyed. Another mascara!? Really!? It wasn't that long ago that we got the No7 mascara (and this soon became my favourite mascara) but then I tried out this new mascara and fell in love instantly. I even think I could call this one my favourite mascara now! It adds the right amount of volume, length and colour, and I can even use it on my bottom lashes without looking stupid! It is very rare that I can find a mascara that works that well. I will definitely repurchase this mascara in the future.

So that was this month's Look Incredible box. Even though there were a couple of items in the box that I was not happy with at all, I will definitely continue with my subscription to this box.

I'll be back on Saturday with another post for you all!

Makeup Products I Don't Really Like

Hello you beauties!

This is a post that I was supposed to write a few months ago, but decided to prolong it so that I would have more to write about. There hasn't really been many items that I haven't liked, but there are still a few so I'm still going to write this post for you all. I usually avoid being negative in my posts, but I suppose it doesn't hurt just this once to have something different on my blog.

1. Makeup Revolution Baked Highlighter
I think this is the one product that put me off using powder highlighters for a while. At first, it looks really pretty and it swatches great, but during application I found that there was a lot of fall-out (everything landed on my clothes rather than my skin!) and that it definitely just looked TOO purple. Maybe other people would have more luck with this product, but this is a product that definitely isn't right for me.

2. Natural Collection concealer
When I was younger, I used to only ever use Natural Collection makeup, thinking this brand was the best thing ever. But since I have started exploring with makeup more, I have found that, in general, Natural Collection makeup really isn't good at all. I struggled to find the right shade for me, as there were a limited range of shades anyway, but it was also very runny and hard to blend, and creased extremely easily under the eye after a few seconds. I would rather spend a bit more money on the Bourjois Radiance Reveal concealer, knowing that it'll do a good job.

3. Natural Collection bronzer
Again, another Natural Collection product. I hated this bronzer. No matter what brush I used, hardly any of the product would be picked up and it would take ages just to make any of the product seem visible on my skin. Whilst in the pan, it looks like a lovely light bronze-y colour, but once on the skin it actually turns disgustingly orange, which was often prominent around my neck and hairline. You might find it'd work better for you, but I will never be using this bronzer again.

4. Natural Collection mascaras
And yet again, another Natural Collection product! These were the only mascaras that I ever actually used, but I would never use them again as they hardly do anything. If you get the black ones, then they may add a little bit more colour but other than that, they do nothing! I suppose if you were going for a very natural look for your makeup then these mascaras will work great, but because I love adding extra length and volume to my lashes, then these mascaras just aren't right for me.

5. Velvet 59 liquid lipstick in the shade 'Pink Cadillac'
Liquid lipsticks are something that I don't really get along with well generally, but this is the one I hated the most. The colour is just WAY too bright and gross and just washes me out, and also the formula is dreadful. They're supposed to be matte products but they never actually dry out, they just get really sticky. Also, the lipstick is so incredibly runny that its just so hard to work with and leaves it looking streaky on your lips. No matter what I did or how hard I tried, I never once managed to get this lipstick to look right -  it's supposed to be worth around £16 but, honestly, I wouldn't even spend £1 on this product.

So they were the products that I do not really like. If you've had a more positive experience with these products then let me know. Or alternatively, also let me know any products that you don't really like either.

I'll be back on Wednesday with another post for you all.

If you liked this post then be sure to subscribe/follow, comment and share with your friends.

Look Fantastic Beauty Box Review September 2016

Hello you beauties!

It's that time of the month again for my beauty box reviews. First up this month, as per usual, is the Look Fantastic box, who have given us all a great box for their birthday. As you all know, this is not necessarily my favourite subscription box out there as I feel it is too skincare heavy, but I am continuing with my subscription to it until next April, so hopefully we'll see some improvement in the box soon.

Price of box is £11.25 per month (if 12 month subscription). No fee for P&P
There are 6 products in this month's box
The brands included in this box are: Christophe Robin, Bliss, Argan Liquid Gold, Bareminerals, Lord & Berry, and Gatineau

For some reason, we didn't receive an Elle magazine like we usually do, but I never really read them anyway so I'm not that bothered about this.

The first item I pulled out of this month's box was the Lord & Berry Mini Strobing Pencil. Just recently, I have started to become very very interested in highlighters, and also contouring, so I love this addition to the box. It's very easy to use, and very creamy, and very easy to blend, while only giving a subtle shimmer. I find this highlight is brilliant for normal, everyday wear.

The next item is a decent sized bottle of the Christophe Robin Purifying Shampoo, and while this is a brand that I have never really heard of before, I have done my research and it seems like a reasonably good brand. My hair is not the best, as I have probably mentioned before, so any hair product I receive I always try as soon as I possibly can. This is a product I haven't actually used yet, as I have tons of new hair products to try out, but as soon as I have an opinion on this Purifying Shampoo, I will let you all know.

The third item in this box are the Gatineau Collagene Expert Eye Pads. I have a very busy life, again as I have mentioned before, so sleep is sometimes not something I focus on. There are often days where I look extremely run down, mainly because of those dreaded bags that settle themselves under my eyes too often. This can ruin any look, especially if you're wanting to go out and have a nice time with friends. These Eye Pads have been a lifesaver for me. Just one application of them helps me look and feel more refreshed in a matter of minutes, and I couldn't recommend them highly enough.

The next product in this month's box is the Bliss Lemon and Sage Maximum Moisture Cream and I am extremely pleased with this product again this month. As the weather is getting colder, it means my skin is getting drier - especially on my hands- which means this product is the perfect addition to my collection. It smells great and is amazingly moisturising, and is the perfect size to slot into your handbag when you go out. Once this runs out, I may just have to go and buy some more.

They also included the Argan Liquid Gold Multi-Tone BB Cream within the box, that I was originally excited to see but soon knew that I probably wasn't going to use it much. I love BB creams more than foundations as they are more lightweight and adapt to your skin tone, but I have had so many problems with this BB cream every time I have used it. It's extremely streaky and hard to blend, and also does definitely NOT adapt to your skin tone - this was at least 3 shades too dark for me and made me look like I had a horrible fake tan. I would definitely not recommend this product to you all.

The last item in the box is the one we all knew would be in there before the month started, and probably the item I was most excited about. It is the Bareminerals Mini Moxi Lipstick in the shade 'Get Ready', which is a lovely sheer, creamy neutral lipstick which also smells great (aka doesn't smell like gross chemicals). The only downside is that when they say 'mini', they really do mean mini, as it is a tiny lipstick, and I worry that there is only enough of the product for a couple of applications. So at the moment I am using this lipstick sparingly, and hoping that I can find it somewhere for a decent price in the future.

So that was this month's box. I think it is obvious that it is not always the products in the box that I'm not happy with, it's mainly the fact that the products we're given are such tiny samples (which I don't feel is worth £11.25 a month) and the fact that the boxes are so skincare heavy. But overall I am quite pleased with this box and I hope that they continue to get better from there.

I'll be back on Saturday with another post for you all.

The Harry Potter Tag

Hello you beauties!

Yes, I know, it's another tag. But it was my 19th birthday yesterday, so I thought it was fitting to write about the one thing that I love the most - other than fashion and makeup of course. Harry Potter.

1. What is your favourite book?
Definitely the Half Blood Prince. I feel like it is the most mature out of all the books while Harry is at school, and makes me feel less like I am reading a children's book, and more like I'm reading a YA book.

2. What is your favourite film?
Probably Deathly Hallows Part II. It is a very dark film, and very emotional. The actors are great at portraying the emotions correctly for this film. I cried a lot during this film. Honestly.

3. What is your least favourite book?
The Chamber of Secrets. I just found this to be the most boring of all of the stories.

4. What is your least favourite film?
Again, The Chamber of Secrets. I think I was just not that keen on the storyline as I was the others, and the character of Lockhart really annoyed me. A lot.

5. Parts of the books/films that made you cry?
Many of the deaths throughout the series. Especially Fred. And Cedric.
Draco basically being pressured into being a Death Eater to save his family
The fact that the Slytherins were always so horrible to Hermione about things that she couldn't help e.g. being Muggleborn, her looks

6. If you could hook up with any character, who would it be?

Definitely Draco. Always has been Draco since day one, and will be Draco for as long as I live.

7. Who is your favourite character?
This is a hard one, as I love both Hermione and Draco. I would have to go with Draco in the end though. He is a more troubled boy, and I feel most sorry for him.

8. Who is your least favourite character?
Oh, this one is easy. Definitely Umbridge. I don't know how she was even let near children. Or to teach them anything. She is just the worst human being going.
Oh, and I disliked Lucius Malfoy a lot too. He always prioritised Voldemort over his own son and this really annoyed me. Family should come above everything else.

9. What is your favourite quote?
Mine is definitely a Weasley twin quote.
"What are Fred and I? Next door neighbours?"

10. What is your least favourite quote?
When Lucius Malfoy says
              "Now now, play nice Draco"
because I find it extremely patronising. Draco isn't a little kid, so why treat him like one!?

11. What would your Patronus be?
I have never actually thought about this. But the quizzes that I take usually say 'Otter' because apparently I'm smart.

12. What would your Boggart be?
Probably a massive snake, or a great big Alsatian, both ready to attack.

13. What would you rather have - the elder wand, the resurrection stone or the invisibility cloak?
Definitely the invisibility cloak. While I'm small and almost invisible anyway, but if I had an invisibility cloak it'd be so much fun sneaking up on people. I could attack them with snowballs - oh my, it'd be so much fun!

14. Which house would you be in?
Slytherin 100%!!!

15. If you were on the Quidditch team, which position would you play?
Probably Beater. I can get quite violent when I want to, so the other team had better watch out or else get knocked into another universe.

16. Which class would be your favourite?
I would love History of Magic. I know in the books it says it is a very boring subject, but I just love history in general, whether that be Muggle or Magic.

17. If you could bring one character back to life, who would it be?
Cedric Diggory! He was way too young to die, and I would've loved to have seen his character develop. It is obvious that Rowling only bought him in for the Triwizard Tournament, so she'd have a character to kill off. Which is so sad.

18. What would your job be in the magical world?
I would love to be a Healer or Mediwizard, and learn how to use magical and herbal remedies from minor injuries to more major illnesses.

19. If you could meet any member of the cast, who would it be?
I would LOVE to meet Emma Watson. She seems like such a genuinely nice person and I feel like I'd get on with her very well.

20. Were you happy with the ending?
Kind of. While the pairings seemed cute (yes, I do love Hermione and Ron being together) but I wish that Harry and Draco had become friends. Yes, I know the hatred wasn't as strong anymore, but after everything that went off in the Battle of Hogwarts, I genuinely thought they could be friends after that.

21. How much does Harry Potter mean to you?
It means a lot to me. It is what I grew up with, and is the only wizarding and witchcraft story that I have read that doesn't make me cringe. It is my escape, whenever I'm feeling sad, I just pick up one of the books, or watch one of the films, or go onto one of the online communities and lose myself into the wondrous world of wizardry.

I tag you all to do this tag too!

I hope you like my post and I will be back on Wednesday with another for you all!

The 7 Deadly Sins of Beauty Tag!

Hello you beauties!

I have seen many people doing this tag, so I thought it was about time that I did it too. Plus it is perfect to say that I am a beauty blogger!

Greed: What is your most inexpensive beauty item? What is your most expensive?
My most inexpensive beauty item/s has to be the two MUA blushers that I own - in the shades 'Lolly' and 'Cupcake' - that both only cost £1 each!
My most expensive beauty item is my Stila 'Eyes are the Window' Soul palette, which have to be the best and most pigmented eyeshadows that I own. This palette cost me £30.

Wrath: What beauty products do you have a love/hate relationship with? What product has been the hardest to get?
I have a love/hate relationship with eyeliner. Sometimes I can get it to look great on me, but most of the time it just doesn't want to go right.

I have never really struggled to find a product that I've wanted.

Gluttony: What are your most delicious beauty products?
My Bourjois bronzer - its the one that smells of chocolate!!!

Sloth: What beauty product do you neglect, due to laziness?
Eyeliner, because I usually don't have the time or patience for this!

Pride: What beauty product gives you the most self confidence?

Definitely mascara - I cannot stand how my eyes look without it.

Lust: If money was no object, what lustworthy beauty product would you add to your collection?
I would definitely want the Violet Voss Holy Grail palette. I actually asked for this for my birthday without realising how much one cost. It is so expensive! It is definitely something I would add to my collection if I had all the money in the world.

Envy: What items would you most like to receive as a gift?
I am keen to own the Sleek Solstice highlighter palette. I did ask for it for my birthday, so hopefully my parents will be able to find it easily.

So that was the tag, and I hope you all do this tag too!

I'll be back on Saturday with another post for you all!

If you like my blog, make sure to subscribe/follow, comment and share with friends! Thank you!

Back to College Tag 2016

Hello you beauties!

It is that time of the year again where everyone is getting ready to go back to school and college. I, too, am getting ready for another year at Sixth Form, so I thought that this post was extremely appropriate.

I have adapted this tag slightly, as I could only find back to school ones, and as college/sixth form and school are quite different, I needed to change some of the questions slightly. I still hope you all enjoy this tag and I hope you all take part in this too!

1. What date do you start back?
I start back on Friday 9th September (which also happens to be my birthday)

2. What year will you be going into?
I will be starting year 13, but will be my 3rd year at college, as I have had to do year 12 twice.

3. What do you study?
I study 3 A Level subjects - English Literature, English Language and Mathematics

4. What is your favourite subject?
My favourite of the three has to be English Literature. I have loved this subject for years and years.

5. What is your least favourite subject?
While I don't dislike any of these subjects, I do find Mathematics to be the hardest of the three.

6. What does your usual day look like?
During the school day, we have two 50 minute periods, and then a 25 minute break. This is then followed by another two 50 minute periods, followed by a 50 minute lunch break. Then we have yet another two 50 minute periods then it is time to go home. However, I do not always have lessons every single period, but I do usually spend my free periods at college catching up on work or doing extra work.

7. What is your favourite thing about college/sixth form?
My favourite thing about sixth form is being able to study the subjects that I enjoy, rather than subjects that I have no choice but to study.

8. What is your least favourite thing about college/sixth form?
My least favourite thing has to be the stress that comes with the studying. We are always determined to do so well that sometimes we let our studies take over our lives and people have been known to get extremely ill due to the stress.

9. What are you most excited about this school year?
I am really looking forward to finally applying for university. I should've started university this month, but unfortunately due to having to retake year 12, I am a year behind things than I should be. But hopefully I shall be starting university in the fall of 2017.

10. What are you most nervous about this school year?
I nervous about my exams, as I need them to go extremely well this school year to have any chance of being able to go to university.

11. What are your plans after you leave college?
I hope to study English Literature with Creative Writing at the University of Brighton once I have finished college. And then after that I would love to be a journalist and hopefully a published author eventually.

12. Any helpful revision tips?
Don't do too much revision in one go. I know that it is tempting to want to cram as much as you can into one night every night, but everyone knows that it won't help long term. If you're studying A Levels, create a schedule and focus on one area of one subject a night. And make sure you have plenty of breaks (even if they're only 10 minute breaks to go and get some fresh air and a drink) otherwise you'll get way too stressed out about everything. If you're a visual learner like me, I find that diagrams and colour coding really help, and flash cards are brilliant for learning new terminology. If you want a whole post about revision tips, then just let me know in the comments!

So that was my back to college/sixth form tag, and I tag you all to do this too!

I will be back on Wednesday with another post for you all!

Monthly Favourites August 2016

Hello you beauties!

I really can't believe how quickly this year is going. It feels like only yesterday I started this blog, and I've actually been posting on this blog for just over 4 months now! Time really is flying!

Since it is the 1st September, it is only appropriate to tell you all about what I was loving last month!

1. Lip balms
I don't know about you, but I usually get really really dry lips. I hate when this happens, as sometimes it effects my lipstick and then I get really frustrating and usually feel like screaming. So I've really been loving lip balms this month. I have such a massive collection of lip balms now which have pretty much kept me calm recently. I especially love scented lip balms, especially sweet scents.

2. Benefit Porefessional Face Primer
I'm not sure if I've mentioned this product before, but I really have been loving this primer so much. I'm pretty new when it comes to primers, and before I just had a primer/moisturiser by Nivea, but the formula of this Benefit one feels like a better base than a moisturising primer does (the moisturising ones can make your face feel greasy).

3. Soap and Glory Archery Brow Tint and Pencil in the shade 'Love is Blonde'
I always struggle to find decent brow products that don't make my brows look crazy. While I'm a natural blonde, my eyebrows are slightly darker than you'd expect, so sometimes blonde eyebrow products are no use at all, but light brown products are still much too dark. However, this product is just right! The colour isn't too harsh for my brows, but is easily blendable so I can have my brows as light or as dark as I want without my brows looking stupid.

4. Scented hand creams
As I have probably mentioned before, I get very dry skin on my hands, so hand creams are products that I am ALWAYS carrying around with me. I especially love scented ones, and I recently bought a pink grapefruit scented one from The Body Shop (see my previous post). Not only do they really smooth my skin, they also smell great and makes the chore of applying them multiple times a day much more pleasurable.

5. Historical films and TV shows
Everyone who knows me knows that I am a massive history geek. I often wish that I lived in the past rather than now, so I enjoy spending time watching period dramas. My favourites recently have included 'The Tudors', 'The Young Victoria' and 'The Duchess'. Not only are they great to watch, but can also be very educational as they teach you what life was like in different periods of history.

6. Hell's Kitchen
I have actually become obsessed with this TV show this past month. Watching this show was the highlight of every week for me - my Wednesday nights were not complete without watching this. It is packed with dramas, laughs and sad moments, keeps you on the edge of your seat and helps you to root for your favourite. This is one show that everyone should watch.

So those were my favourites for August. While it has been a long and fun-filled month, I haven't really tried many news things, or done many different things than I usually would do. Hopefully next month I would be able to talk to you about many more things, but until then I hope you enjoyed reading my favourites for August.

I'll be back on Saturday with another post for you all!

My Big Summer Beauty Haul

Hello you beauties!

Can you believe it's finally September!? This year has gone so quickly - it'll be Christmas before we know it! But first, it's time to go back to school and college (and my birthday is not too far away!), which calls for a nice big shopping trip to cheer myself up - I've loved having so much time off.

I went out a couple of weeks ago and bought a few things so I will mention those first before I get onto the main shopping trip.

I mainly went out with the intention of buying a new foundation as I was starting to run out of my other one so I wanted to buy a new one so I didn't have to go without at all. I decided to try the Bourjois Healthy Mix foundation, as I've heard great things about this foundation. I usually use the Rimmel London foundations but I have recently found that they oxidise a lot so I wanted to try something different. And so far, I've had no problems with this foundation. It is only a light coverage foundation, so when the weather cools down a bit in late autumn and winter, I will go out and buy another foundation that offers better coverage. I got the lightest shade 'Light Vanilla' - I was worried about the shade as they only had 3 different shades but this light one is perfect for me. If I feel like a look a little pale, then I'll just dust some bronzer lightly over my face to give me a bit more colour, but I would still definitely recommend this foundation.

Boots had a 3 for 2 offer on all of their Bourjois products and I have always wanted to try one of their blushers so I picked up one of those too! I chose the one in the shade 'Rose D'or (Golden Rose)' which I think is a new shade for the brand. It is a beautiful rosy pink shade with hints of gold glitter that looks amazing to wear for nights out and parties. I would say this blusher is definitely worth the money and I am excited to try out some more of their blushers.

And for my free product, I decided to buy one of their lipsticks (no one can ever have too many lipsticks!) from their Rouge Edition. I chose the one in the shade '04- Rose Tweed' which I personally think is very similar to the Rimmel London Kate Moss lipstick in the shade '08', although the Kate Moss is slightly pinker. This Bourjois lipstick is definitely a shade that I can wear with absolutely anything for any occasion and it feels extremely great on my lips.

On the same day, I also decided to buy a L'Oreal Paris Color Riche single eyeshadow in the shade 'Gold Mania' which, as the name suggests, is a beautiful gold shade. I fall in love with glitter shades almost immediately (I have tons in my makeup collection) so I just had to add this one to my collection too. I love using this to add that something special to my look.

Now, onto the main shopping trip, that took part today. I feel like I went everywhere, it took me a good few hours until I decided that I should give my bank card a rest for the day.

First I went into Boots (As you can guess, I love Boots), and bought onto a couple of things, but they are things that I have wanted for a while, so that is how I can justify buying them.

First I bought the NYX Proof It! waterproof mascara top coat (£5.50) which is something I have been lusting over since I learnt of its existence. It's supposed to make all your mascara waterproof (duh!). While I always buy waterproof mascaras if I can, I sometimes get mascaras in my beauty boxes which aren't waterproof, so I bought this top coat mascara so that hopefully I won't have to worry about panda eyes ever again!

Another product from NYX that I bought was one of their Intense Butter Glosses (£5.50) in the shade 'Spice Cake' which is a remotely dark purple colour. I only usually stick to barely there pinks and very nude colours so I felt rather brave about buying this product. But now that it is coming up for autumn, I thought it was definitely an appropriate time to buy this. I really do love this colour and can see myself using this a lot over the next few months.

Finally from Boots I bought myself a hair dye. Yes, I do dye my hair! Over the past year and a half I have had dyed purple hair, but now a new school year is beginning, I have decided to dye my hair red! Not ginger, but bright red! I bought the 'Real Red' Schwarzkopf Live Intense Colour hair dye (£4.49) which I actually bought with my Boots Advantage Points. I love this brand and it looks like an amazing colour so I can't wait to dye my hair again!

Then I went to The Body Shop. I shop there a lot now, so I actually had a £5 voucher to use in store. Own a ton of body mists and body butters and shower gels, etc. I had no idea what to buy. So I went to what I always love - the mini goodies that are ALWAYS on a 3 for 2 offer. So I bought the Mango hand cleanse gel (£2.50) - you all know how much I love hand gels, especially the scented ones. I can see myself carrying this around in my bag everyday.

I also bought the Pink Grapefruit hand cream (£4). Again, I have an obsession with hand creams as I get very naturally dry skin, and this will especially be useful with the colder days coming. I am also obsessed with the Pink Grapefruit scent. I have the body mist in the Pink Grapefruit scent and it is definitely the best scent that I own.

Finally from The Body Shop I bought one of their Honey scented lip balms (£2). I have wanted to own this lip balm for AGES - I love lip balms as I get very dry lips. While I don't really eat honey, I love love love the scent of honey (like I always use the Manuka Honey face masks from H&M) and it is very very moisturising on my lips and I bet I will be using this a lot.

So I was really impressed with everything from The Body Shop, and I was even more impressed when I only had pay £1.50 for it all!

I also went to Superdrug. I bought my friend something from their for her birthday (it's her birthday the same day as mine) so I won't mention what I bought for her just in case she's reading this (though I doubt she is!). But I bought a couple of other things that I have been wanting/needing for a while.

I bought another MUA blusher in the shade 'Cupcake' (£1) which is a slightly pinkish nude colour that is great for a natural look - and I love this blusher already! I could even say that it is similar to the Bare Minerals Ready Blush in the shade 'Whisper'. I love these MUA blushers and for only £1 they're definitely worth the money!

I also picked up one of the Collection moisturising lip butters in the shade 'Cappuccino' (£2.99). I have mentioned this in my posts before (I think it came up in one of my favourites posts before), as this is probably my favourite lip product ever! I needed to buy a new one as my current one is almost gone, so I wanted to buy a new one before this one ran out!

Finally, Superdrug had a 2 for £10 offer on all Rimmel products, and my Mum had mentioned that she wanted a lipstick from that brand (it happened to be the Kate Moss lipstick in the shade '08'). So I picked up that lipstick for her, and I picked up one of the Kate Moss lip balms that they finally had in stock! I've been wanting one of these for ages but they were always sold out in every shop I went in. So now I finally own one! For a lip balm, its not as moisturising as some cheaper alternatives but I do not regret buying it.

Next (don't worry, I'm almost done!), I went to Topshop. I usually only shop there if I have vouchers or there's a massive sale on, but I decided to have a look in there today just to see what they had in stock. And lucky me managed to walk in during their jewellery sale! I bought myself a really nice necklace that had changeable charms on it. This necklace only cost me £3, when the original price was £10! I was so happy with how much money I saved!

I also finally bought myself one of their lipsticks! I have always wanted to buy the 'Brighton Rock' lipstick (which is a bright pink) but I don't feel brave enough for that one yet. I am one for trying darker colours at the moment though, so I decided to go for the shade 'Beguiled' (£8) instead. This is actually a matte lipstick which I didn't notice until I bought it. Because I often get very dry lips, I try and avoid matte lipsticks as much as I can, but as long as I moisturise my lips well then I am sure that I might be able to wear this well. I really love this colour. It is a nice glittery purple toned brown, and I'm looking forward to wearing this with my little black dress on a night out for my birthday.

Finally, I went to T K Maxx. I love love love going to T K Maxx as most of the time I can find amazing deals on amazing brands (although sometimes I'm not quite as lucky). Today, I bought a few items that I am happy to now own. All are things that I have been looking for for quite a while.

The first item is a brush cleaning tool by the Vintage Cosmetic Company. It's made of silicon and it's a baby pink colour which is so cute. The RRP of this product was £5.95 but I bought it for the discounted price of £3.99. I have not used it yet but I am due to clean my brushes again soon, so I may write a review on the product once I have used it.

The second item is yet another lip balm. It is a LipSMACKER lip balm in the Split ice cream scent - which definitely is my most favourite ice cream! I love scented lip balms so I was desperate to own this once I saw it. I haven't actually tried this one out but I've used lip balms by this brand before so hopefully it keeps up to those standards. The RRP for this product was £2.50 but I bought it for a slightly cheaper price of £1.99.

The final item I bought in T K Maxx and the whole of my shopping trip is the Technic Colour Fix Cream Corrector Palette. This was supposed to be £4 but I bought it for only £2.99. I have used Technic products before and not always been a massive fan of them, but I have always been keen to try out this product since I first saw it. I have never really experimented with colour correcting products before so I feel like this is a great first product to start with.

So that was everything I bought in my end-of-Summer shopping trip. I hope you all didn't get too bored! If you own anything that I have mentioned in this post then make sure to let me know your opinions of them!

I'll be back with my August favourites post very soon today.
