Look Fantastic Beauty Box Review March 2017

Hello you beauties!

So as you know, my subscription for Look Fantastic finishes this month so this is the last review I will be doing of one of their boxes. I'm so glad it finished on a high - their collaboration with Elle is something I love because Elle is my favourite magazine!

The first item in the box was the St Tropez Instant Gloss which, although it wasn't a massive bottle of it, I can see myself possibly using it a lot within the next few months. With the weather starting to improve, I will be in desperate need of a tan to look healthier than my normal ghostly 'glow', but don't want anything permanent in case it goes wrong. So this product will be useful to me - and I'll let you know what I think of it properly once I've used it more.

The next item is the Starskin Eye Catcher eye masks, which are a great addition to this month's box. I always look sheet face and eye masks as they're so much easier to use and not quite as messy as other masks can be. These are very soothing and very moisturising. I will definitely repurchase these again.

Then there is the SkinChemists 24Hour Aqua Repair Facial Serum and the Caudalie Vine Active 3 in 1 Moisturiser, but both of these are items that I will be waiting a while to use as I have a lot of serums/moisturisers on the go already.

Then there is the Redken Heatcure Treatment which is a strange idea for me, They're hair masks, supposed to de-frizz your hair and make it healthier. I'm definitely in need of these masks and I can't wait to try them out.

The final item in this box is the only makeup item this month, which is slightly disappointing. This is the PUR Minerals Disappearing Act Concealer in the shade 'Light' which is the perfect shade for me. However, I am very picky with concealers as I haven't found the perfect one yet, so I'm going to try out this product a lot before I give my genuine opinion on it.

So while this box definitely isn't the best one of theirs I have ever received, I am certainly not disappointed. In a way, I am definitely sad that I am no longer going to be receiving these boxes anymore, but I simply couldn't afford to carry on with the subscription.

I'll be back on Wednesday with another post for you all.

I hope you all liked this post. If you did, be sure to follow/subscribe, comment and share with friends.

Look Fantastic Beauty Box Review February 2017

Hello you beauties!

It's time again for a beauty box review. Before we start talking about the contents of this month's box, I just wanted to talk to you about the future of this blog. It's honestly nothing majorly serious, so don't worry about it.

Since the beginning of this blog, I have always included subscription box reviews, and these have swapped and changed a little bit during the past 10 months, and I am sorry to tell you all that, within the next few months, my subscription box reviews will seize completely. As some of you may know, I am going to university in September and so I am not planning on continuing getting these boxes when I do move away.

So my Look Fantastic subscription finishes next month (meaning there will only ever be one more Look Fantastic review on this blog) and I plan to cancel my other two boxes during the summer months. I'm sorry if you really like reading my box reviews but I simply can't afford to keep them going.

Anyway... let's get onto the review!

First is the Borghese Fango Mud Mask. I am really looking forward to trying out this product as my favourite mascara is from this brand and I am very impressed with this brand as a whole. I'm always in need of new face masks too and I have never tried out mud masks before so I am excited to try this out.

Next is The Ordinary Natural Moisturising Factor which I am pretty sure is a moisturiser. I am always in need of new moisturisers and this actually seems to be pretty good. It's really quite affordable too so if I use it more and like it then I will probably repurchase it. It's supposed to be non-sticky too which I am excited about.

Then we got a Model Co Eye Lites Metallic shadow which I was so excited to see in this month's box. You should all know by now that I love a shimmery look on my eyes so a metallic eyeshadow colour is my idea of heaven. It is a beautiful gold colour too which is what I usually choose when buying shimmery shades (I have a lovely L'oreal one that I use all the time). So I can't wait to try this one out.

Surprisingly we got the MyVitamins Catwalk Queen vitamins and even though we've got vitamins in this box before, they're not always something that I want in a beauty box. They're supposed to help a look with your hair, skin and nails but the actually tablets are huge so I am kind of put off of taking them. They're a great addition to the box though if you love vitamins though.

Then there is the Polaar Icy Magic Roll On eye cream. I love eye creams and I personally love this brand too, as we got a lip balm from this brand a couple of months ago in this box which has now become one of my favourite lip balms. I really do hope this eye cream is magical for my eyes.

The final product in this box is the This Works Deep Sleep Stress Less roll on which I think will be perfect for me if it actually works! I get very stressed out very easily and have had to do all sorts just to try and calm myself down a bit. I use the sprays to help me sleep at night, I take Kalms tablets now when I feel the need for them and now I have something that will fit perfectly in my handbag for when I'm on my travels!

So I do like this box overall, except for the vitamins, and I'm sure I'll end up using everything in this box like I usually do.

I'll be back on Wednesday with another post for you all.

I hope you all liked this post. If you did, be sure to subscribe/follow, comment and share with friends.

Look Fantastic Beauty Box Review January 2017

Hello you beauties!

I am so happy to be bringing my first beauty box review of 2017 to you today! And what better than a really popular box. This month's Look Fantastic box has seemed really really popular and, if I'm completely honest, I don't see the hype. Yes it was a good box and I will use every product in it, but I personally didn't find it to be outstanding, or amazing.

First in the box, and of the skincare items, is the Briogeo Don't Despair, Repair! Deep Conditioning Mask which is a product I have used before and absolutely love. The reason I've used it before is because it was one of the items in my first ever Look Fantastic box! I'm not mad that it's a repeat because this product was actually amazing and I ran out of it pretty quickly because it's been 9 months and I used it up pretty quickly.

Then there is the Nuxe Gentle Toning Lotion and I am happy to see this product in the box as it is a brand that I love and I am always looking for a new toner to try out. It smells great too - a lovely floral scent. I can see myself using this product a lot. And possibly buying a full sized version of it in the the future.

The next items are all beauty items.

I was really excited to see a product from the Vintage Cosmetic Company in this month's box as I have heard that these are amazing products. I have used their brush cleaning tool before which is a brilliant product and I have been needing a new pair of tweezers for a while, so I am excited that their tweezers were featured in this month's box. They're so pretty too which will hopefully be better motivation for me to sort out my brows more often. Now all I need is their eyelash curlers (hint hint Look Fantastic!).

Then there is a Jelly Pong Pong Fairy Lashes Mascara, and this really is not a brand I have ever heard of before. However, I really like trying out new mascaras so hopefully this one might become a new favourite of mine. The brush looks nice to use too (not too big but not too small) so hopefully it will give the perfect amount of volume and colour to it.

Next there is the Trifle Cosmetics Liquid Glow highlighter and again this is another brand that I have never heard of. However I always love adding new highlighters to my makeup collection so I am excited to try this one out. The only negative thing about this is that it is a liquid highlighter and I usually only use powder ones as I find them easier to use on top of a liquid foundation. This liquid highlighter isn't the easiest to blend either, so I'm going to have to try it out a few times before I decide if this product is worth it or not.

Finally we got a product from Pixi! I am so excited about this product, which is their translucent brow tamer. I have always wanted to try out their products but never really had the money to. So I'm really glad that this was included in this month's box as I can finally manage to build up my collection. I am always looking for great brow products too.

So overall I really did like this month's box but I wouldn't say it's outstanding. My Look Incredible boxes are still definitely a lot better than these, but the Look Fantastic ones are definitely worth the money. If you're looking for a beauty box but are on a budget, then I definitely would recommend these Look Fantastic boxes.

I hope you all liked this post. If you did, be sure to subscribe/follow, comment and share with friends.

Look Fantastic Beauty Box Review December 2016

Hello you beauties!

Welcome to Blogmas day 13, and it is finally time for the first beauty box of the month; Look Fantastic! As you all know, I'm not usually that fussed with this beauty box (Look Incredible is so much better in my opinion) but they really did impress me with the contents this month. So let's get straight into it!

Day 13 of Makeup Revolution Calendar: a Bronzer

Price of box is £11.25 per month (if 12 month subscription). No fee for P&P
There are 6 products in this month's box
The brands included in this box are: Philip Kingsley, Skin Republic, Bubble T, Balance Me, Illamasqua and Mellow

As per usual, we get an issue of the Elle magazine, and I am so excited to see that this month's issue is all about feminism! I might actually read this one this month.

1. Philip Kingsley Elasticizer
I have heard a lot of great things about this brand before but never actually used any of their products. I always welcome hair products and I am always very keen to try new things out. I'm really hoping that this product will be great for me, and that it'll help me sort out every problem I ever have!

2. Skin Republic Caviar and C0Q10 Face Mask
This is a product that I have a feeling I'm going to love! It's a sheet mask, and I have never used this sorts of products before but I hope that this means they'll be a lot easier to use than other face masks. Plus I love anything that will help sort out the dry skin on my face.

3. Bubble T Bath Bomb in the scent 'Hibiscus and Acai Berry Tea'
I really was not expecting to see this in a beauty box! I have never had a bath bomb before, especially in a subscription box, as I don't really use this. This is such a lovely scent though so I definitely see myself using this one day over the festive period as part of a pamper night.

4. Balance Me Pure Skin Face Wash
This is one product that, unfortunately, that I'm not really a fan of. I don't know why, but I have always hated Balance Me products, (and I prefer using my Neutrogena face wash at the moment) so I'll probably pass this one onto someone else.

5. Illamasqua Hydra Veil Primer
I was actually shocked when I saw this product in this box! I have never actually owned an Illamasqua product before, even though I have always wanted to, so I am so excited to use this more, especially because I love trying out new primers. It has a jelly like texture that feels strange at first but this product actually works really well. It really hydrates the skin too, which is another feature of this product which I really love.

6. Mellow Cosmetics Lipstick in 'Madness'
I love getting new lipsticks, and this is a brand that I have never heard of before, which makes getting a new lipstick even more exciting! I have never really worn red lipsticks before, but now that we are getting closer and closer to Christmas, I was wanting to start wearing red lipsticks more, so this is the perfect addition to my makeup collection.

I can't believe this was the last Look Fantastic box of the year! But I honestly cannot wait to see what Look Fantastic presents us with in the new year.

Look Fantastic Beauty Box Review November 2016

Hello you beauties!

This month's theme for the Look Fantastic beauty box is '#LFSparkle', which is getting me so excited for Christmas already. And this box is by far the most amazing one I have received from them since I first started off with my subscription.

Price of box is £11.25 per month (if 12 month subscription). No fee for P&P
There are 8 products in this month's box
The brands included in this box are: Look Fantastic, Sebastian Professional, L'Oreal, Monu, Bloom and Blossom, and Model Co

As per usual, we got an issue of the Elle magazine, which I think is a great addition to the box.

The first item I pulled out of this month's box is Look Fantastic nail file, complete with silver glitter. This isn't actually listed in their magazine and unable to find it on their website, but I am happy with this product as I have been meaning to buy a new nail file for a while - now I finally have one!

The next item was one I was very excited to see. It is the Look Good Feel Better Angled Blending Brush. I love getting new makeup brushes, especially eyeshadow brushes, and this brush feels like amazing quality so I can't wait to try it out!

Next I saw the Sebastian Professional Volupt Spray. This promises to give more volume to your hair which I really hope it does - I could do with as much volume as I can get. However, although it says it isn't greasy, I am worried about it being a gel as I have never had much luck when it comes to gels. I suppose I should just give it a try and hope that it is worth it.

Then I saw the L'Oreal Mythic Oil, which was the item they revealed to us before the box was released. I have never really tried any of the hair products from L'Oreal before so I am excited to try this out, but with it being an oil I am hoping that it won't make my hair greasy.

They also included a sample of the Monu Recovery Balm, which is supposed to 'recover' tired and stressed skin. My skin hasn't been at its best recently, especially with the cold weather doing its worst to it, so I am happy to have this in the box and I really do hope it works to help my skin.

We also received a small bottle of the Bloom and Blossom Revitalising Leg and Foot Spray. We've received plenty of products from this brand before and I have always been impressed so I hope that I manage to find this product good quality and useful too.

The final item in the box is probably my most favourite item in the whole box, It is a Model Co Blush in the shade 'Peach Bellini'! As the same suggests, it is a peachy toned blush, and I always love wearing blush of this shade. I have never used anything from this brand before but I've heard great things about the brand. Just from one swatch of this product I can tell it is amazing quality so far and I am excited to start using it more and more.

So overall I am very, very impressed with this box, and although the previous boxes haven't been very exciting for me, this box has helped me to show that it is still worth paying £11.25 per month. I am looking forward to next month's box - no doubt it will be Christmas themed!

I'll be back on Wednesday with another post for you all.

Look Fantastic Beauty Box Review October 2016

Hello you beauties!

And again, it is time for another beauty box unboxing! Like normal, first is the Look Fantastic box. So let's get on with it.

Price of box is £11.25 per month (if 12 month subscription). No fee for P&P
There are 7 products in this month's box
The brands included in this box are: Oskia, Mio, Polaar, Murad, Laura Geller and Alterna

As per usual, we were given the Elle magazine, which I have actually started to read now!

The first item I pulled out of the box was the Murad Intensive-C Radiance Peel, which comes as a little 10ml sample size. It promises to brighten the skin and leave a glow. I am quite excited to try this out as I always love trying out new face products.

The next item I found was the Polaar The Genuine Lapland Cream, which is a decent 10ml sized tube of lip balm. I am always looking for great lip balms as I suffer from quite dry and cracked lips. This smells of berries too, which means it is great for the autumn and winter months.

Next was the Mio Liquid Yoga, which is described as being a restorative bath soak. It is supposed to help ease tension and muscle aches while encouraging an atmosphere of relaxation. I rarely have a bath - I tend to opt for a shower as it is quicker - so I might not get chance to use this product, but I might try and find time to try it out as soon as I can.

Then, in the box, I found the Oskia Renaissance Mask which I am extremely excited about as I love a good face mask. It smells great and is very easy to use so I am looking forward to using it more in the future.

Next is the Alterna Caviar Moisture Intense Treatment which I am happy to receive as I do not have the best hair so I am always looking for ways to improve it. We get a decent sample size in this box (25ml) and I am looking forward to seeing if it does give my hair the moisture boost it promises.

The final item is probably the most exciting item in the box. It is the the Laura Geller Pout Perfection Waterproof Lip Liner. A Laura Geller product!? I received the shade 'Chianti' which is a lovely Mauve Cherry shade, and is perfect to use with those plum toned lipsticks. Now that I have started wearing darker lipsticks, this lip liner is a perfect addition to my makeup collection.

So overall I really did love this box this month. The addition of the lip liner made this box even better and I am excited to try out each product.

I'll be back on Saturday with another post for you all!

Look Fantastic Beauty Box Review September 2016

Hello you beauties!

It's that time of the month again for my beauty box reviews. First up this month, as per usual, is the Look Fantastic box, who have given us all a great box for their birthday. As you all know, this is not necessarily my favourite subscription box out there as I feel it is too skincare heavy, but I am continuing with my subscription to it until next April, so hopefully we'll see some improvement in the box soon.

Price of box is £11.25 per month (if 12 month subscription). No fee for P&P
There are 6 products in this month's box
The brands included in this box are: Christophe Robin, Bliss, Argan Liquid Gold, Bareminerals, Lord & Berry, and Gatineau

For some reason, we didn't receive an Elle magazine like we usually do, but I never really read them anyway so I'm not that bothered about this.

The first item I pulled out of this month's box was the Lord & Berry Mini Strobing Pencil. Just recently, I have started to become very very interested in highlighters, and also contouring, so I love this addition to the box. It's very easy to use, and very creamy, and very easy to blend, while only giving a subtle shimmer. I find this highlight is brilliant for normal, everyday wear.

The next item is a decent sized bottle of the Christophe Robin Purifying Shampoo, and while this is a brand that I have never really heard of before, I have done my research and it seems like a reasonably good brand. My hair is not the best, as I have probably mentioned before, so any hair product I receive I always try as soon as I possibly can. This is a product I haven't actually used yet, as I have tons of new hair products to try out, but as soon as I have an opinion on this Purifying Shampoo, I will let you all know.

The third item in this box are the Gatineau Collagene Expert Eye Pads. I have a very busy life, again as I have mentioned before, so sleep is sometimes not something I focus on. There are often days where I look extremely run down, mainly because of those dreaded bags that settle themselves under my eyes too often. This can ruin any look, especially if you're wanting to go out and have a nice time with friends. These Eye Pads have been a lifesaver for me. Just one application of them helps me look and feel more refreshed in a matter of minutes, and I couldn't recommend them highly enough.

The next product in this month's box is the Bliss Lemon and Sage Maximum Moisture Cream and I am extremely pleased with this product again this month. As the weather is getting colder, it means my skin is getting drier - especially on my hands- which means this product is the perfect addition to my collection. It smells great and is amazingly moisturising, and is the perfect size to slot into your handbag when you go out. Once this runs out, I may just have to go and buy some more.

They also included the Argan Liquid Gold Multi-Tone BB Cream within the box, that I was originally excited to see but soon knew that I probably wasn't going to use it much. I love BB creams more than foundations as they are more lightweight and adapt to your skin tone, but I have had so many problems with this BB cream every time I have used it. It's extremely streaky and hard to blend, and also does definitely NOT adapt to your skin tone - this was at least 3 shades too dark for me and made me look like I had a horrible fake tan. I would definitely not recommend this product to you all.

The last item in the box is the one we all knew would be in there before the month started, and probably the item I was most excited about. It is the Bareminerals Mini Moxi Lipstick in the shade 'Get Ready', which is a lovely sheer, creamy neutral lipstick which also smells great (aka doesn't smell like gross chemicals). The only downside is that when they say 'mini', they really do mean mini, as it is a tiny lipstick, and I worry that there is only enough of the product for a couple of applications. So at the moment I am using this lipstick sparingly, and hoping that I can find it somewhere for a decent price in the future.

So that was this month's box. I think it is obvious that it is not always the products in the box that I'm not happy with, it's mainly the fact that the products we're given are such tiny samples (which I don't feel is worth £11.25 a month) and the fact that the boxes are so skincare heavy. But overall I am quite pleased with this box and I hope that they continue to get better from there.

I'll be back on Saturday with another post for you all.

Look Fantastic Beauty Box Review August 2016

Hello you beauties!

So it is that time of the month again for my beauty boxes! I have something I need to tell you before we get into this review today. I have cancelled my 'My Little Box' subscription. I think that I did mention this on my Twitter but if you don't follow me on Twitter, then now you know. I have cancelled it because I am planning to swap it for a different subscription box. This new box is the Geek Gear Harry Potter subscription box. I will still write reviews for the Harry Potter box on here, even though it isn't a beauty box. There will not be a post about the box this month, however, as I just missed out. When I went to order the box, they had already sold out! So those reviews will be starting from next month.

Now, onto the Look Fantastic beauty box review!

Price of box is £11.25 per month (if 12 month subscription). No fee for P&P
There are 7 products in this month's box
The brands included in this box are: Ren, Bee Good, Percy & Reed, Balance Me, Renu, Bloom and Blossom

Again, we got an Elle magazine but as per usual I never actually read these.

The first item that really stood out to me in the box was the Bee Good Vanilla and Honey Lip Balm. I love love love lip balms and have always wanted to own a honey one, as I love honey scents (although I can't stand eating the stuff!). I am yet to try this out as I use a lot of different lip balms, but I've heard great things about this brand so I cannot wait to try it!

The next product is the Ren Flash Defence Anti-Pollution Mist, which is something I have never really heard of before. However, it's supposed to be great if you're in a city and I often go shopping in the Nottingham city centre as I live close-ish by, so I will try it out and see if I notice anything.

The next item is one that I am quite excited about. It is the Bloom and Blossom Rejuvenating Facial Spritz. I love these facial sprays, as they make me feel so refreshed, but I would like it even better if it was scented. This is going to become a staple in my handbag throughout the rest of the summer.

Next is the Balance Me Congested Skin Serum, which I am excited to see. With the weather warming up, I have found that I am having a lot more breakouts and I am really hoping that this serum will really help me out.

Then there is the Renu Lip and Eye Active Lift cream. I feel like I'm too young to be worrying about wrinkles, but this cream also supposedly helps with puffiness under the eyes so I might try and see if it actually helps with the massive bags under my eyes.

The final product is the Percy & Reed Wonder Balm. A hair product. I have never used this product before. I am really hoping it's a good brand and that it will help control my frizzy hair. I'll use it a lot for styling my hair too, as it is actually a primer for that purpose.

So that was the review for this month's box. It is not the best box ever, and I personally don't feel like it was worth it for me this month - there are a lot of sample products and I will probably not use many of these products. I hope it'll be a better box next month.

I'll be back on Saturday with another post for you all!
