Nyx Lip Products Review

Hello you beauties!

I know I have talked highly about these lip products before, but now I have had the opportunity to try them out a little bit more, I thought I would give you my updated opinion on the Nyx lip products.

NOTE: I don't have a massive collection so these opinions are only on what I already own.

1. Butter Lipstick in the shade 'Fizzies'
This is a really really lovely muted pinkish red shade. I love this lipstick. While reds aren't really my sort of thing, because it is only a hint of red and it is a sheer lipstick then I can get away with it. It is easy to build up the colour if necessary and it is brilliantly pigmented. They're also very creamy and feel moisturising. I would definitely recommend these lipsticks.

2. Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick in the shade 'Tea & Cookies'
This is a light pink shade (yes I do like pinks) and having never really used many liquid lipsticks before, I was a bit worried about how well I'd get on with this. It wasn't the easiest thing to use and it took a while of application before I was even happy with how it looked. I loved the colour though but I probably won't buy one of these again.

3. Nyx Lingerie Liquid Lipstick in the shade 'Bedtime Flirt'
I knew from the beginning that this product wouldn't work for me but I never thought I'd actually hate it. I struggled to find the right shade for me, but I am happy with the shade I got. But it's the formula of the product that I don't get on with. It is very drying on the lips, very hard to work with, but also quite sticky and looks tacky. I will definitely not be buying one of these again.

4. Nyx Butter Gloss in the shade 'Madeleine'
This is probably my favourite lip product from Nyx. While I don't usually use lip glosses, I love this one. The shade is a lovely neutral that is very light on the lips and is great for a good casual wash of colour. It's not too sticky either, and so I'm desperate to expand my collection of these products.

Overall, I would definitely recommend the Butter Gloss products and would definitely not recommend the Lingerie liquid lipsticks. In the future, I hope to increase my collection of Nyx products soon (I'm loving their eyeshadows at the moment) so I'll keep you all updated on that.

Let me know if you've tried any awesome Nyx products or if there are any that you didn't really like.

I'll be back on Wednesday with my final post of the month for you all!

My Favourite Summer Accessories 2016

Disclaimer!: I do not own any of these pictures (I'm still not confident enough to post pictures of myself on here) sorry!

Hello you beauties!

As I said in my last post, this post would work really well with my previous post. Of course I'm right! This is an accessories post, a must to complete any perfect outfit!

1. Sunglasses are a go-to for me during the Summer, when the Sun actually appears! Not only do they look great but they're also very practical - I usually wear them while driving so that I don't cause any accidents! You can buy great sunglasses for a very low price from Primark, but I am also loving wearing my Bourjois sunglasses.

2. Floral crowns/headbands are something I love wearing during the Summer months, and these are even more perfect when paired with a lovely playsuit or dress. I don't like wearing the massive ones, but you can buy cute little headbands from New Look for a reasonable price. They're also great for festivals!

3. Little stud earrings are something I usually wear anyway but I love them even more in Summer. They look great with most outfits, and again I am loving wearing flower studs! My favourites at the moment are my Pandora daisy stud earrings, which are great paired with a summer dress.

4. I love wearing sandals during the summer as they look cute, are easy to wear and keep your feet so cool! I love wearing simple sandals as I can pair them with absolutely anything.

5. Watches are perfect accessories during the summer. With people travelling a lot more, it is handy to know the time without having to rummage around in your bag for your phone. I love wearing pastel or metallic coloured watches for that extra pop of colour.

So there were 5 accessories that I love during the summer! Let me know what your favourite summer accessories are.

I'll be back on Saturday with another post for you all!

My Favourite Summer Clothing 2016

Disclaimer!: I own none of these photos produced (I don't feel confident taking any of myself) sorry!

Hello you beauties!

When the weather is warm, we all know how important it is to dress appropriately but still look great. So I'm here to share with you what I love to wear during the summer days!

1. One thing I love wearing in the summer months are simple short sleeved t-shirts. They can be of any sort. At the moment, I have one t-shirt in particular that I am obsessed with - it is a simple striped t-shirt that I bought from Primark for £3. I am also loving wearing Harry Potter themed t-shirts as I am a massive Potterhead. All simple t-shirts like these are great to wear with a pair of leggings, which brings me onto the next point...

2. Cropped leggings! I rarely wear any other trouser/skirt typed items other than leggings, but sometimes it gets a little bit too warm to wear the full length leggings. So I purchased some leggings that come to just below my knee which I don't find too warm for the hot weather. They're great to wear with anything.

3. Summer dresses! I'm not usually a dress sort of person (for confidence and practicality reasons) but sometimes in the summer I do wear the odd dress here and there. I love wearing very pastel and summery colours like bright blue and pastel red/pink and they're great for a chilled out day with friends and family.

4. Playsuits are my ultimate go-to during the summer months. They're really relaxing to wear but also look super cute and you can even get away with wearing them for a more formal event! I love white and blue playsuits but I also have a pink floral one that I absolutely adore.

5. Anything with floral prints are a must for the summer months. Of course, because I know I see a lot of flowers around once we get into Spring and Summer and these sorts of prints make me feel extremely girly too.

So they're my 5 go-to clothing items for summer this year! Tell me what you like to wear during the summer!

I'll be back on Wednesday with another post for you all (hint: it works well with this post!)!

Look Incredible Beauty Box Review August 2016

Hello you beauties!

I know you were expecting a 'My Little Box' review today, as this is usually the time of the month that I upload them, but I explained in the Look Fantastic review why I wouldn't be reviewing these anymore. So here is my 'Look Incredible' review! Which you all know is my favourite beauty box to receive each month!

Price of box is £18.99 per monthAnd £2.50 P&P
There are 5 products in this month's box
This box is worth £93.98
The brands included in this box are: Nars, Bare Minerals, Benefit, Ooh and Fusion Beauty

The first item in this box is the Ooh Organic Argan Moisture Retention Face Oil (£19). I have never really heard of this brand before, and I never usually use face oils, so I wasn't majorly excited about receiving this product. However, I will try it out and see if I like it.

They also included the Nars Pure Sheer Lip Treatment (£15) in the box, and I received the shade 'Lara'. I am really hoping that this product will be useful for me, as I suffer from dry lips quite a bit. I will try this product out and let you know what I think of it.

Then there is the Benefit Ultra Shines Lip Shine Gloss Haute (£9.99) and I received it in the shade 'Foxy Lady' which is a lovely pink-ish red tone. I don't usually use lip glosses as I can find them too sticky sometimes but I will try this product out and may use it quite a bit in the future.

The next item is the Fusion Beauty Face Primer (£24.99) and again I have never heard of this brand before but this product already looks amazing. I never really have any primers that I absolutely love (although I am liking the Benefit Porefessional Primer) so I am hoping that this primer will impress me over time.

Finally, the most exciting product in this box is the Bare Minerals Ready Eyeshadow 4.0 (£25) and I got the 'Afterparty' quad. I have always wanted to own some more Bare Minerals makeup, as I already own one of their blushers from a previous Look Incredible box, and now I'm really happy that I finally own some of their eyeshadows! I cannot wait to try these out.

So I really really loved this box this month. It must be one of my favourite boxes ever and I am really glad that I subscribed to these boxes. They are definitely worth the money.

I hope you enjoyed this post and I will be back on Saturday with another post for you all!

My Top 3 Mascaras Summer 2016

Hello you beauties!

I know in the past I have mentioned that mascaras are definitely my holy grail product, so I thought it was only appropriate that I wrote about my 3 favourite mascaras. So here is the post!

One of my favourites is the Roller Lash mascara by Benefit. I love wearing this on a night out as it adds a lot of length and volume. It is one of the best quality mascaras I have ever used and make my lashes look a lot more dramatic. However, it is not always affordable so it's not one that I buy a lot.

Another favourite is the Maybelline Lash Sensational mascara. I am sure you've all heard of this mascara, and many of you have probably used it or still use it now. I love Maybelline mascaras as a whole, so I was really excited to try this out. It really curls my lashes well and even adds more volume.

However, my most favourite mascara ever has to be the No7 Exceptional Definition mascara. I received this in a Look Incredible box and I have used it most days since then. I have even bought a new one since then! I love that it is not too dramatic but does still curl your lashes and add some volume.

I know this was a really short post, but I hope you all still enjoyed it! I'll be back on Wednesday with a new post for you all!

Look Fantastic Beauty Box Review August 2016

Hello you beauties!

So it is that time of the month again for my beauty boxes! I have something I need to tell you before we get into this review today. I have cancelled my 'My Little Box' subscription. I think that I did mention this on my Twitter but if you don't follow me on Twitter, then now you know. I have cancelled it because I am planning to swap it for a different subscription box. This new box is the Geek Gear Harry Potter subscription box. I will still write reviews for the Harry Potter box on here, even though it isn't a beauty box. There will not be a post about the box this month, however, as I just missed out. When I went to order the box, they had already sold out! So those reviews will be starting from next month.

Now, onto the Look Fantastic beauty box review!

Price of box is £11.25 per month (if 12 month subscription). No fee for P&P
There are 7 products in this month's box
The brands included in this box are: Ren, Bee Good, Percy & Reed, Balance Me, Renu, Bloom and Blossom

Again, we got an Elle magazine but as per usual I never actually read these.

The first item that really stood out to me in the box was the Bee Good Vanilla and Honey Lip Balm. I love love love lip balms and have always wanted to own a honey one, as I love honey scents (although I can't stand eating the stuff!). I am yet to try this out as I use a lot of different lip balms, but I've heard great things about this brand so I cannot wait to try it!

The next product is the Ren Flash Defence Anti-Pollution Mist, which is something I have never really heard of before. However, it's supposed to be great if you're in a city and I often go shopping in the Nottingham city centre as I live close-ish by, so I will try it out and see if I notice anything.

The next item is one that I am quite excited about. It is the Bloom and Blossom Rejuvenating Facial Spritz. I love these facial sprays, as they make me feel so refreshed, but I would like it even better if it was scented. This is going to become a staple in my handbag throughout the rest of the summer.

Next is the Balance Me Congested Skin Serum, which I am excited to see. With the weather warming up, I have found that I am having a lot more breakouts and I am really hoping that this serum will really help me out.

Then there is the Renu Lip and Eye Active Lift cream. I feel like I'm too young to be worrying about wrinkles, but this cream also supposedly helps with puffiness under the eyes so I might try and see if it actually helps with the massive bags under my eyes.

The final product is the Percy & Reed Wonder Balm. A hair product. I have never used this product before. I am really hoping it's a good brand and that it will help control my frizzy hair. I'll use it a lot for styling my hair too, as it is actually a primer for that purpose.

So that was the review for this month's box. It is not the best box ever, and I personally don't feel like it was worth it for me this month - there are a lot of sample products and I will probably not use many of these products. I hope it'll be a better box next month.

I'll be back on Saturday with another post for you all!

My Summer Makeup Routine 2016

Hello you beauties!

As Summer is here, the weather is often getting a lot warmer. So I felt the need to change my daily makeup routine, as during the winter I often had a much heavier and fuller coverage which would be too much for the hot weather. So here is my Summer makeup routine!

1. So after applying my primer, I would first usually use a BB cream rather than a foundation, as it still offers coverage but it is not quite as heavy as foundation. I would usually use the Dead Sea Spa Majik or Garnier BB cream, although I have also been trying out a Maxfactor CC cream too.

2. Next is my concealer, and I use the Bourjois radiance reveal concealer. I love this concealer as not only does it cover up blemishes and dark circles well, it also brightens your skin too, making you look alive and fresh for those summer days.

3. As I always do, I now apply a light dusting of my Rimmel London Stay Matte powder on the areas I get oily during the day.

4. I then move onto my eyes, starting with my eyeshadow. So I apply my eye primer, and the one I use is the GOSH roll on eye primer, which has become such a staple in my makeup collection recently.

5. For eyeshadows, I am loving nude colours but also with a touch of glitter, so I am loving using my Stila 'Eyes are the Window' shadow palette in 'Soul'. The eyeshadows are extremely creamy and pigmented and hardly ever crease, so I have found myself using this palette a lot.

6. I hardly ever use eyeliners, but in the summer days, I am loving applying white eyeliner to my waterline to give my eyes a little more definition. At the moment, I am using the Rimmel London soft kohl kajal eye liner pencil in the shade 'Pure White'.

7. Next I apply a couple of coats of my favourite mascara, the No7 Exceptional Definition mascara, on my upper lashes, and a coat of my Clinique bottom lash mascara on my bottom lashes. Mascara is definitely my holy grail product!

8. I love having lighter brows during the summer. So, I simply just use my Soap and Glory eyebrow tint and pencil in the shade 'Love is Blonde' followed by using a quick coat of my Maybelline brow mascara (the transparent shade).

9. I love love love pale pink blushers during the summer days! I use my Makeup Revolution Hot Spice palette a lot, but I have also been loving the MUA blush in the shade 'Lolly' this summer.

10. I usually forget to use lip liner, but when I do, I love to use clear lip liners as you can use these with any shade of lip stick/lip crayon. The clear lip liner that I use is a L'Oreal Paris one.

11. Pale pinks are a staple for me during the summer months, with the sun being brighter and lighter, so should our lips. So my darker pinks and purples are put to one side and out come my pale/light pinks and fushcia colours.

And of course, I use my Makeup Revolution setting spray to set my whole makeup look.

I hope you enjoyed this post! I would love to know everyone's summer makeup routines too! I'll be back on Wednesday with another post for you all!

5 Books You Should Read This Summer

Hello you beauties!

Summer is definitely here and with college now over until September, I am planning on reading a LOT of books. Do you enjoy reading too? Do you want recommendations on what to read? Then here is my book recommendations to you for this summer.

1) The Harry Potter series by J K Rowling
Who doesn't love Harry Potter!? Let J K Rowling take you to another world this summer with young Harry Potter and his friends as they battle evil and create friendships with all sorts of people. However, don't expect to be able to read the whole series this summer. Maybe just 2 or 3 books.

2) Am I Normal Yet by Holly Bourne
This is one of those books that talks about the harder topics (anxiety, OCD, therapy etc) but it really is a book that I have been loving recently. I have really found sympathy for the main character Evie, and I have been hooked the whole way through.

3) Suite Francaise by Irène Némirovsky
Everyone has heard of this book, turned into a film. And honestly, it was one of the best books I have ever read. It has a beautiful story to it (don't worry, I won't ruin anything!) and has amazingly developed characters. Whilst it was not one of the easiest books I have ever read, I will definitely admit that it was worth the read.

4) The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald
I am sure that everyone has heard of Fitzgerald and the character of Gatsby. I studied it a few times for my English Literature A Level, and I know a lot of people who hated this book after studying it, but honestly it is one of my favourite books ever. It's not too long either so it is perfect for the summer.

5) Girl Online by Zoella (Zoe Sugg)
I have seen people with mixed opinions about this book. I personally love this, and think that Zoe has done a brilliant job with writing it. I love the storyline (again, I'll not provide any spoilers!) and the characters are very developed and strong. I loved it so much that I bought the second one and loved that too! So make sure you read this book this summer!

So that was a very short recommendation list for you all! I could definitely recommend more books than this but if I did, we'd be here all day and I know you don't have time for that!

I hope that you all enjoyed this post and I'll be back on Saturday with another post for you all!

Monthly Favourites July 2016

Hello you beauties!

I can't believe it's August already! Another month closer to my birthday (I'm sure I'll talk about my birthday a lot between now and September), I really am excited now. Also another month off college is something to look forward to, I feel less stressed out already and summer has only just begun!

As it is the first day of August, here is my July favourites!

1. Benefit Hoola bronzer
I hardly ever wear bronzer as I always struggle to find the right shade for me, and a lot of them always turn out very orange-y on my skin (especially the Makeup Revolution one that I own) but this bronzer is definitely one that I can work with. It's very light and sits nicely on my skin. I would definitely recommend this bronzer.

2. GOSH Prime & Refresh eye primer
I used to love my Korres eye primer but during this past month I really have loved this other eye primer too. It's very easy to use/apply on the lid, and keeps my eyeshadow looking perfect for as long as possible.

3. Yankee Candles
Who doesn't love candles!? I loved candles all throughout winter, especially cinnamon and apple scents, but Yankee candle store recently had some lovely summery scents in stock. They're great to use to make those dull rainy days that bit brighter.

4. No7 Exceptional Definition Mascara
This mascara is definitely my holy grail makeup product since I discovered it in my Look Incredible beauty box in June. Since then, I have already bought another one - I love it that much!

5. Gossip Girl
I have always loved this show, but I am loving it even more recently. As I've had more time to spare as I haven't had college, I've spent most of my time sitting on my sofa watching this show on Netflix. Definitely check this show out if you have time to!

6. Harry Potter
I have been a fan of Harry Potter for a very very long time but just recently I have become very very obsessed. In June, I went to The Making of Harry Potter and I am going back again in a few weeks time. Recently the Harry Potter series has made me very happy which is why it is in my monthly favourites.

So that's last month's favourites for you all! I'll be back on Wednesday with a new post for you all!
