Hello you beauties!
Everyone always seems to obsess over darker lips during the colder months which is completely understandable as it helps to represent the mood and I suppose the weather which is what some people do with their makeup looks. Hence why corals and pinks are popular in the summer and dark browns and purples are used a lot during the colder months.
I have been known to wear darker lip colours before, usually purples but within the past year (or just a bit later than that) I have also started to experiment more with darker browns, as usually with browns I stick to lighter nude browns.
Before I actually answer the question I asked in my title, I want to just discuss with you a few of my favourite darker lip colours. I'm sure that I've probably mentioned all these colours/lip products before in my posts, especially in a post last December where I wrote about my favourite winter lip colours of 2016.
My favourite darker lip colour of all time has always been the Topshop matte lipstick in the shade 'Beguiled'. It's not too drying which I sometimes find with matte lipsticks but that probably doesn't help that I have naturally dry lips. It's really pigmented too and such a bargain at just £8.
I've started to experiment with darker browns now which I was a bit nervous to do before as I never thought they would suit me. However, I have been loving the Coloured Raine liquid lipstick in the shade 'Mars' which is a lovely dark brown that I feel really does suit me well. It doesn't transfer or run even if you've been having a drink (as I've found out because I like to wear this lip colour on a night out) and isn't drying either.
If I feel like I want a pop of colour while still rocking a darker lip, I usually choose to use to use the NYX Intense Butter Gloss in the shade 'Spice Cake'. Surprisingly it is not a matte product this time, but I really do like the butter glosses from the NYX brand and these intense butter glosses are so much better than I could ever ask for! When it says 'intense' it really does mean intense. This is a very vivid colour but is still a perfect autumn colour.
But are these colours really only suitable for the latter half of the year? Of course not. I would wear these darker colours at any time of the year. I tend to match my lipstick to the outfit that I'm wearing rather than the time of year that we're at. So if I'm wearing a darker outfit, I will wear a dark lip with it, even if it's the middle of July.
I suppose I can argue that it's the same for lighter lip shades. These are definitely wearable during the winter months. You don't want to wear a darker lip with an outfit that needs a lighter lip just because it's November.
What's your opinion on the right time to wear darker lips? Do you agree that they can be worn throughout the whole year?
I'll be back next week with a new post for you all.

Colours and Styles I Like To Wear in the Autumn
Hello you beauties!
I'm bringing you a rare fashion post again today. As we're nearly in November and getting closer and closer to winter, I wanted to write a post about autumn style, and what I chose to wear to represent the season.
Obviously darker colours are the must-have choice for this autumn time. My favourites are usually black, blue, purple/burgundy and red. Especially burgundy with a matching vamp lip is perfect for this time of year as days get shorter and colder.
I personally feel like darker colours are perfect for the autumn time as they look warm. A cosy feel is just what we need as the temperature starts to drop. Paired with the perfect plaid scarf, you can make any item look perfect for this season.
My favourite colour to wear is definitely purple or a burgundy colour. A long sleeved t-shirt in that colour with black skinny jeans and boots, wrapped up in a cosy scarf and coat - that is always my go to autumn outfit.
Long sleeved t-shirts are definitely an item of clothing you should consider. Not only do they look great if worn properly and accessoried correctly, they're also really practical as it means in the warmer parts of the autumn months it means you only have to wear one layer under your coat.
You can never fail with a cardigan in these colder months. They're soft, warm and easy to throw on with any outfit. You can get so many different patterns for them too, or just keep them plain. Whatever is best for you.
I know this wasn't the most interesting and longest post I've ever written, but I thought it may be useful or at least informative about my life and personal preferences.
What colours and outfits do you like to wear during autumn?
I'll be back next week with a new post for you all.

What Colours I Do and Don't Wear
Hello you beauties!
It's not very often that I actually write fashion posts as for some reason I tend to focus more on beauty, so I'm trying now to bring more fashion related posts to you all.
Today I want to discuss colour, and what colours I like to wear and what I usually avoid. Everyone always talks about what colours suit certain people and what colours they should avoid, and I always believe it depends on your eye colour, hair colour, skin tone, etc... I don't know if you all believe that too but that's my opinion on it.
Colours I usually tend to avoid are green and yellow. I just don't believe that they are very flattering colours on me. I have blue eyes so I feel like if I ever wear green then it clashes too much and just doesn't look right.
Also, I'm a very pale person so I feel that whenever I wear yellow, especially a light yellow, then it washes me out. Which of course is never very flattering - who wants to look paler than they are!?
However, there are many colours that I love to wear and feel very comfortable and confident wearing. My favourite colour to wear is definitely purple, but that is probably more due to the fact that it is my overall favourite colour and not the fact that it actually looks good on me.
One colour that I especially love wearing is red, because with my blue eyes I just feel like it is very complimentary and also makes me feel confident and empowered.
I also love wearing blue, especially a dark blue because I believe that blue (just like black) is a colour that anyone can wear and not have to worry about. It works with anything but can still brighten up an outfit if you don't want to wear black, or want to wear a black top but do not want a whole black outfit.
What colours do you like/dislike wearing?
I'll be back next week with a new post for you all.

My Favourite Winter Lip Colours 2016
Hello you beauties!
Everyone knows that a great lipstick completes a look. And I find that around Christmas time, it is more important than ever. And everyone loves their plums and dark reds at this time of year, so I thought I would share my 5 favourite winter lip colours of this year with you for Blogmas Day 3!
Day Three of Makeup Revolution Calendar: Anti-Shine Balm
1. Lord & Berry lipstick crayon in the shade 'Diva'
This is a recently new addition to my makeup collection (I received it in my Look Incredible box last month) but I am already in love with it. It feels so great to use, it is so creamy, it just glides on so easily and the colour pigmentation is amazing.
2. No7 Moisture Drench lipstick in the shade 'Shiny Conker'
This is the only lipstick mentioned in this post that isn't a purple shade, but it is probably one of my most favourite lipsticks of all time. It is a lovely darker brown shade than what I would usually wear, which gives it a slightly vamp-y vibe to a look but can also make me feel very autumnal/winter-y. It is also very moisturising and very pigmented.
3. Laura Geller lipstick in the shade 'Cab Crush'
I will admit, this is the lipstick that I use the least as, even though I love it, it is my least favourite out of all the winter-y shades I own. It is quite pigmented, although slightly more sheer than the others, and is quite easy to use, although you will need a lip liner to stop it bleeding.
4. NYX Intense Butter Gloss in the shade 'Spice Cake'
Everyone knows that I love NYX as a brand, but I was scared to try out these 'intense' lip products, because for so long I have been scared of my lips being too bright and looking stupid. However, this purple shade is perfect. While it is a very intense colour and really stands out, it does not look stupid on me, instead it completes the look. It is also very easy to apply this product and hardly needs reapplying during the day. The only problem I have with this product is that it is a little bit sticky, but that is bearable, and its worth it.
5. Topshop matte lipstick in the shade 'Beguiled'
This is my favourite winter lip colour of all time, and the first purple lipstick I ever owned. I was worried about buying it at first, as I didn't want to spend £8 on a product and not like it. Luckily, I loved it. I've always been wary about matte lipsticks before as I don't want them to dry out my lips but this product is the perfect matte. It dries into a matte perfectly and hardly needs reapplying during the day. It is also a very easy product to apply and the pigmentation is lovely. I would definitely recommend this product.
So these were my 5 favourite lip colours for winter. Let me know if you like any of these two, and also comment if you have any suggestions for me to try.
I'll be back tomorrow for Blogmas Day 4!

My Wish List 2016 - Everything and Anything!
Hello you beauties!
Everyone loves having their own wishlist - I really don't think you could ever own every single thing that you want! So I decided to give you all my wishlist so far!
1. Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara.
I have heard many great things about this mascara, and I love the Too Faced brand so I am really keen to try out this mascara.
2. Spectrum makeup brushes
Brushes are probably one of the most important parts of makeup application, and so I'm always in need of amazing makeup brushes. I would love to own some Spectrum brushes as they look like such good quality and are so pretty too!
3. Too Faced Sweetheart Blushes
I seem to just love Too Faced at the moment! These blushes are so cute and I love the fact that you get 3 different shades in one. I may also have to try the cheaper Makeup Revolution versions.
4. Romwe Sweaters
While I'm trying to ban myself from buying any more clothing, I have found myself looking through the Romwe website and have fallen in love with the sweaters they have! I find the need to buy more sweaters as I don't own many and the weather is getting much colder.
5. Darker nail polish shades
I have a LOT of nail polishes. I really do. But a lot of them seem to be quite summer-y shades, and with autumn here and winter approaching, I really need to buy some darker red and plum/purple tones ready for the festive months.
So that was my current wishlist! I hope you all enjoyed reading it, and feel free to share your own wishlist with me.
I'll be back on Wednesday with another post for you all.

Monthly Favourites September 2016
Hello you beauties!
Well, yet again, it's that time of the month again so here I am bringing you my 6th monthly favourites post. Where has the year gone!? At this rate, it won't be long until Christmas is upon us (and I really do hope it hurries up).
1. Purple/Dark Red lipsticks
Autumn is here, which means that everyone has brought out those dark lip colours yet again. I have never used lipsticks that weren't nudes or subtle pinks before, so when I purchased my first purple lipstick this time last month (a Topshop matte lipstick in the shade 'Beguiled'), I really did worry. What if I looked stupid? Luckily, I managed to pull it off, and have brought multiple other dark lipsticks since then and wear them every time I go out. And now, I can't imagine not having dark lips - I love it.
2. Sleek Solstice Highlighter palette
Yes, I did finally give into the constant nagging in my head that was telling me to buy this product. In a way, I knew it was good before I bought it, as many, many people always say very positive things about it. And now it has to be my favourite highlighter ever! It can be very intense sometimes though - one time I put so much on by accident that when I took a 'selfie', all I could see was the highlighter in the picture!
3. Long Sleeved T-Shirts
Now that the weather is cooling down slightly, I have been wearing long sleeved t-shirts a lot. I cycle most places, and so I hate wearing coats while doing so, but feel the need to have a layer covering my arms, so long sleeved t-shirts are perfect. They're great if you want to go out at night too and not take a jacket.
4. Pink Grapefruit scents
I know I mentioned this slightly last month when I spoke to you all about hand creams, but the scent I have been loving most recently is pink grapefruit. It's just a lovely fresh, fruity scent that allows me to cling onto summer whilst we transition into the colder months. If I'm completely honest, I feel like I'll still be wearing this scent at Christmas!
5. Fruity peel-off face masks
Again with the fruity scents! With my skin getting a lot drier as the weather gets colder, I have relied so much on face masks this month to keep my skin feeling refreshed. And I swear by peel off masks, as they're so much easier to use, less messy and I also find that they dry quicker too. I always feel like I have great skin whenever I use them, and you can buy some great ones from Superdrug for only 99p, or my other favourites include ones from H&M for only £1.99
So I've not really liked much this month, and hopefully that'll change for next month - I really want to be able to write about more for you all! Let me know what you have all been loving this month, or even what you haven't been loving!
I'll be back on Wednesday with another post for you all!
