My Everyday Autumn Look

Hello you beauties!

Although I haven't been wearing makeup as much recently as I used to but I definitely do still have a go to look for this time of the year. So I wanted to share this with you all today.

1. Fusion Beauty Brightening Primer and purple CC stick
During the winter months, I tend to get really red and dry skin due to the cooler weather drying it out. So the first thing I do is use my purple CC stick (from an unknown brand as I received it as an extra item in a beauty box) and also my Fusion Beauty Brightening Primer (which is also purple) to get rid of this redness but also to moisturise my skin.

2. Rimmel London Match Perfection foundation in the shade 'Light Porcelain'
During the colder months, I always want to opt for a more glow-y look with my foundation. My Rimmel Match Perfection foundation is perfect for this sort of look as it's the perfect shade for me, is easy to blend out and doesn't cling to my drier spots.

3. Collection Lasting Perfection concealer in the shade 'Fair'
I don't think this product needs any explanation. Everyone knows how amazing this concealer is and it's the only concealer I ever use.

4. Rimmel London Stay Matte powder in the shade 'Transparent'
Again, I don't think this product needs an explanation. Although I have tried a NYX powder before, this Rimmel one is always my go-to powder as it really does what it says on the tin. However, because I want to maintain a dewy look in my autumn look, I have to remember to use a light hand with this product.

5. Benefit Hoola bronzer
I wrote a post back in July where I mentioned why I love my mini version of this bronzer, and I particularly think that it is the perfect bronzer for the darker months. This is because it is darker than some bronzers I usually go for (although still definitely wearable). I find that I need a darker bronzer during the winter months as otherwise I would feel washed out as I am pale and feel even more pale with the colder weather. Bronzer definitely adds a bit of warmth to your look.

6. BareMinerals Ready Blush in the shade 'The Whisper'
If you've been following my blog since the beginning, you will know that as soon as I received this blush, it became my all time favourite blush. I always thought that any blush that I had to use had to be a pink shade but oh how wrong I was. Since I discovered nude blushers, they have become my favourite. This blush is definitely perfect for autumn as it gives you lovely natural colour to your cheeks without making you look too... rosy, I suppose.

7. MUA Undress Your Skin highlighter in the shade 'Pink Shimmer'
This is one of the newest items in my collection (although I did buy it all the way back in August) and I will admit I don't use it much. But I've heard great things about it and it's so cheap which is why I bought it. I have used it a couple of times since I bought it and have decided it is definitely a highlighter I'm going to favour for an everyday look as it isn't as intense as some highlighters I own but just gives you the perfect natural glow.

8. CoastalScents Revealed Smoky Eyeshadow Palette
This is the part of my routine that may actually vary sometimes. I tend to use this palette all the time as I actually love it. I love to use this palette for the autumn as it features a lot of dark colours such as dark brown and burgundy - perfect colours for the autumn! It also has some great shimmer shades in it too.

9. Collection Supersize Fat Lash mascara
This is also a newer item in my collection like the highlighter and it has quickly become one of my favourite mascaras. If you want dramatic lashes with plenty of volume and curl then I wouldn't recommend this mascara but it's perfect mascara if you just want a natural look - which is obviously what I'm aiming for with this look. Plus it's really cheap too!

10. Freedom Duo Brow Powder in the shade 'Blonde'
Now we're onto the penultimate product in this look. This eyebrow powder isn't my favourite eyebrow product ever but it really does make your eyebrows look natural which is exactly the look I'm going for.

11. Coloured Raine liquid lipstick in the shade 'Mars'
The final item is definitely the item that completes the look. This liquid lipstick is my favourite autumn lip colour this year, as it is a lovely deep brown which I feel like definitely makes this look very autumnal (see my previous post about why I love this lipstick so much).

I would love it if you wanted to share your autumn looks with me!

I'll be back next week with another post for you all (get ready for everything Christmas themed).

Colours and Styles I Like To Wear in the Autumn

Hello you beauties!

I'm bringing you a rare fashion post again today. As we're nearly in November and getting closer and closer to winter, I wanted to write a post about autumn style, and what I chose to wear to represent the season.

Obviously darker colours are the must-have choice for this autumn time. My favourites are usually black, blue, purple/burgundy and red. Especially burgundy with a matching vamp lip is perfect for this time of year as days get shorter and colder.

I personally feel like darker colours are perfect for the autumn time as they look warm. A cosy feel is just what we need as the temperature starts to drop. Paired with the perfect plaid scarf, you can make any item look perfect for this season.

My favourite colour to wear is definitely purple or a burgundy colour. A long sleeved t-shirt in that colour with black skinny jeans and boots, wrapped up in a cosy scarf and coat - that is always my go to autumn outfit.

Long sleeved t-shirts are definitely an item of clothing you should consider. Not only do they look great if worn properly and accessoried correctly, they're also really practical as it means in the warmer parts of the autumn months it means you only have to wear one layer under your coat.

You can never fail with a cardigan in these colder months. They're soft, warm and easy to throw on with any outfit. You can get so many different patterns for them too, or just keep them plain. Whatever is best for you.

I know this wasn't the most interesting and longest post I've ever written, but I thought it may be useful or at least informative about my life and personal preferences.

What colours and outfits do you like to wear during autumn?

I'll be back next week with a new post for you all.

10 Things I Love About Autumn

Hello you beauties!

We are well into the autumn season now, and so I thought I would give you a break from beauty posts and tell you my favourite things about Autumn.

1. Hot Chocolate - I am not usually a fan of hot drinks, as I don't drink coffee or tea, so when the weather cools down, I love spending my nights in front of TV with a mug of gorgeous hot chocolate.

2. Cardigans - I love those big, cosy, knitted cardigans, and they're perfect for the autumn and winter months.

3. Wearing Uggs - Despite people's negative opinions of these shoes sometimes, I really do love wearing uggs to keep my feet warm.

4. Rainy days - While rain isn't the best for me now seeing as I cycle everywhere, I do love it when it rains sometimes. Not thunderstorm rain, just gentle, relaxing rain.

5. Blankets - these go perfect with the hot chocolate too. Sometimes the heating in the house may not be enough, and I need to cuddle up with a nice fluffy blanket too.

6. Crisp Air - the one thing I hated most about the Summer was the fact that the air always seemed stuffy, so I love the nature of the crisp air throughout Autumn. I can breathe again!

7. Scarves - We need something to keep our necks warm! I love going out shopping for new scarves every autumn and of course I love wearing them too!

8. Cinnamon Candles - While I usually light these scents of candles more during the winter months, I do love having cinnamon candles during autumn as I just relate it so much to the colder days.

9. Bonfires - While I'm not a fan of fireworks, having a nice bonfire is something I always love. Is there really a better way to spend time with friends during the dark nights of autumn?

10. Toffee Apples - Especially where I live, we get a lot of fairs visiting the city during autumn and I love nothing more than eating a toffee apple as I enjoy absorbing the exciting energy around me.

And one thing I hate about autumn: Halloween! This may be an unpopular opinion, but I just genuinely do not like Halloween. I was very shy as a kid, so Trick-or-Treating was not always something I enjoyed, and as I have gotten older, I have either been working on Halloween or just not been bothered about doing anything. This year I will be going to my first ever Halloween party so maybe this will make me love Halloween, but until then, I really do not like it.

So those were the things I love about autumn. Let me know what you love about autumn! Also, let me know if you hate Halloween too - I've never met anyone who doesn't like it.

I'll be back on Saturday with the last post of the month for you all!

My Everyday Makeup Bag Autumn 2016

Hello you beauties!

Everyone who wears makeup knows how much the contents of your makeup bag can change between the seasons. So I thought it was only right that I would bring you an updated post on what is in my makeup bag this season!

1. Foundations and BB Creams - with the weather cooling down, I'm finding it easier and much more pleasurable to wear heavier coverage bases now. I have always enjoyed wearing the Garnier BB cream as it offered great coverage whilst still being lightweight, but I am also really enjoying using the Bourjois Radiance Reveal Healthy Mix foundation.

2. Concealer - I'm only really using one concealer at the moment, and this is the Collection Lasting Perfection concealer. I am loving this concealer because, during the colder months, I feel like my skin looks extremely tired, and so this concealer is really good at covering up my dark circles and blends very easily.

3.  Powder - as per usual, I stick with my usual and favourite powder, the Rimmel London Stay Matte powder. I never really use anything else regarding powder.

4. Bronzer - I am still using my favourite bronzer which is the Benefit Hoola Bronzer. Some things never change!

5. Blush - At the moment, I am loving the MUA blushes as they're so cheap but extremely pigmented. I also love the two Bareminerals blushes that I own, which are more neutral toned than the pinkish toned MUA blushes, so I use these all for different looks.

6. Highlight - Ever since I first bought it, I have been loving the Sleek Solstice highlight palette and it is all I use for my highlight anymore.

7. Eyeshadows - Maybelline Colour Tattoos are my favourite eyeshadows at the moment. This is simply because I have such adorable autumn colours of them, and they're so easy to apply.

8. Mascaras - There are two mascaras that I am using a lot during the autumn. They are my favourites the No7 Exceptional Definition mascara and the Princess Marcella Borghese Superiore State of the Art mascara. I find that both give me just as much volume and colour and curl as I want.

9. Brows - I am loving using the Freedom Brow Pomade in the shade 'Blonde' at the moment but I am also loving the Soap and Glory Archery brow tint and pencil in the shade 'Love is Blonde' as I don't always have a lot of time to do my makeup so I find the pencil a lot easier to use. I am also using the Seventeen Clear Definition clear mascara to set my brows.

10. Plum/Purple lip liners - Of course it'll be plum/purple shades at the moment. It is autumn after all! I own two of these lip liners which I do use a lot. These are a Makeup Revolution one in the shade 'Vamp' and a Laura Geller one in the shade 'Chianti', and both lip liners do an extremely good job.

11. Finally, plum/purple lipsticks/lipglosses - Again, more purple. These shades of lipstick are all that I wear at the moment when I go out. I have 4 lipsticks of these shades. These are the Laura Geller in the shade 'Cab Crush', Topshop matte in the shade 'Beguiled', NYX intense butter gloss in the shade 'Spice Cake' and the Maybelline Colour Drama Lip Print in the shade 'Vamped up'. These are all great lipsticks and colours, and I would definitely recommend them.

So that was my everyday makeup bag post for autumn! Make sure to let me know what you have in your makeup bag this season.

I'll be back on Saturday with another post for you all!

My Favourite Five Autumn Candle Scents 2016

Hello you beauties!

It is well into autumn now, and the weather is getting colder, so it means that it is the perfect time to start lighting candles for casual use. I'm quite strange when it comes to autumn, as I still love using very summery scents during this time, but I am quite determined to give you my genuine favourite autumn scents.

1. Apple cider
This just screams autumn to me. Apples, perfect for the autumn, makes me think of autumn festivals, such as apple bobbing, and also those cold nights sat in pubs trying to keep warm by getting drunk!

2. Cinnamon
While some people may see this as a more winter scent, I love lighting cinnamon candles in the autumn too as we transition between the two seasons and I start getting excited for Christmas.

3. Pumpkin
This one just screams autumn, as Halloween and autumn are the ultimate power couple. I love lighting this during the night of Halloween either while I'm getting ready to go out for a great night and to get me into the mood for Halloween, or if I stay at home to try and relax.

4. Coffee
Whilst I have not seen that many coffee candles, I love having this scent lingering during the autumn months. It reminds me of those hot drinks I need to warm myself up with after a long day at school/college while sat in front of the TV watching an amazing Halloween film.

5. Wood-y
What better than the scent of wood and bonfires on that crisp autumn night? If you don't have any plans, just light a candle of this scent, close your eyes and imagine you're sitting by a crackling bonfire with all your friends. It'll make you feel so relaxed, I promise.

So those were my top 5 autumn scents. Feel free to comment and let me know your favourite scents!

I'll be back on Wednesday with another post for you all!

Monthly Favourites September 2016

Hello you beauties!

Well, yet again, it's that time of the month again so here I am bringing you my 6th monthly favourites post. Where has the year gone!? At this rate, it won't be long until Christmas is upon us (and I really do hope it hurries up).

1. Purple/Dark Red lipsticks
Autumn is here, which means that everyone has brought out those dark lip colours yet again. I have never used lipsticks that weren't nudes or subtle pinks before, so when I purchased my first purple lipstick this time last month (a Topshop matte lipstick in the shade 'Beguiled'), I really did worry. What if I looked stupid? Luckily, I managed to pull it off, and have brought multiple other dark lipsticks since then and wear them every time I go out. And now, I can't imagine not having dark lips - I love it.

2. Sleek Solstice Highlighter palette
Yes, I did finally give into the constant nagging in my head that was telling me to buy this product. In a way, I knew it was good before I bought it, as many, many people always say very positive things about it. And now it has to be my favourite highlighter ever! It can be very intense sometimes though - one time I put so much on by accident that when I took a 'selfie', all I could see was the highlighter in the picture!

3. Long Sleeved T-Shirts
Now that the weather is cooling down slightly, I have been wearing long sleeved t-shirts a lot. I cycle most places, and so I hate wearing coats while doing so, but feel the need to have a layer covering my arms, so long sleeved t-shirts are perfect. They're great if you want to go out at night too and not take a jacket.

4. Pink Grapefruit scents
I know I mentioned this slightly last month when I spoke to you all about hand creams, but the scent I have been loving most recently is pink grapefruit. It's just a lovely fresh, fruity scent that allows me to cling onto summer whilst we transition into the colder months. If I'm completely honest, I feel like I'll still be wearing this scent at Christmas!

5. Fruity peel-off face masks
Again with the fruity scents! With my skin getting a lot drier as the weather gets colder, I have relied so much on face masks this month to keep my skin feeling refreshed. And I swear by peel off masks, as they're so much easier to use, less messy and I also find that they dry quicker too. I always feel like I have great skin whenever I use them, and you can buy some great ones from Superdrug for only 99p, or my other favourites include ones from H&M for only £1.99

So I've not really liked much this month, and hopefully that'll change for next month - I really want to be able to write about more for you all! Let me know what you have all been loving this month, or even what you haven't been loving!

I'll be back on Wednesday with another post for you all!
