Superdrug Haul April 2016

Hello you beauties!

I don’t know about you, but I love having a nosy at what other people buy on their shopping sprees. And so a couple of weeks ago, I treated myself to a little Superdrug haul. Why Superdrug, you may ask? Well, I love Superdrug. They stock all the brands that I love the most.

I had also just signed up to their Health & Beauty Card, and they were offering triple points AND free delivery. I had to take advantage of this, especially as I actually NEEDED a few makeup and skincare items.

I spent a good 4 hours trawling through their website, before deciding that if I added anymore to my basket, then my bank account would hate me. Altogether, I spent around £30ish, even though the actual total should’ve been around £40 (there was a 3 for 2 offer that I definitely took advantage of). So, here it all is.

There were 3 offers that I took advantage of: 3 for 2 on all cosmetics, nails and lashes, free makeup bag when you buy any 3 cosmetics and 3 for 2 on selected Zoella products.

Zoella Scrubbing Me Softly Body Scrub (280g for £7)
I know this scrub is probably higher in price than most decent scrubs out there (probably because of the celebrity label on this) but I treated myself to this once just to try it and I have been in love with it ever since. This is the third tub of this product I have owned now - I don’t use it everyday so this lasts months. I bought my first tub in September, which lasted me until December, when I received another tub of this for Christmas, which lasted until last week. I love the scent of this scrub - very strong scent of blueberry - and it is definitely not too harsh on my very delicate skin. I always have like extremely soft skin, which is the most important factor of body scrubs. I would definitely recommend this body scrub to you all.

Zoella Wonder Hand Moisturising Hand Cream (90ml for £5.50)
I know £5.50 seems like such a high price for such a small amount, but I would have to honestly have to say that this product is worth what you pay for it. I love hand creams as I get naturally dry skin on my hands, so I have been dying to buy and use this product for months. The cream is extremely moisturising which means you have to use only a tiny amount (otherwise your hands get sticky). I love the perfume scent that it has - it makes it a lot different to other hand creams I have used which have had fruity scents or been unscented. This product has worked wonders for my skin (as the name suggests that it would do) and I would definitely suggest that you go and buy this product for yourself.

Zoella Lace Collar Purse (£6)
Everyone who knows me knows that I have tons of makeup bags yet I only use one (also a Zoella one) and so they asked me ‘Why on earth are you buying another one?’. That is easy to answer. First, I wanted to take advantage of the 3 for 2 offer and because I have showers rather than baths (and already own more shower gels than I can count on one hand) then I was very limited to what else I could choose. So this brings me to my second reason - just look how cute it is! It’s also reasonably small, meaning it is the perfect size for me to fit in my handbag when I go out and want to take makeup with me. I just love this little purse/makeup bag and would highly recommend it to all of you.

GOSH Velvet Touch Lip Liner Angel Kiss (£4.99)
I’m not usually the sort of person that uses lip liners, but for some unknown reason I decided I wanted to try one out. This lip liner is a nude colour, hence why I bought it as I usually go for nude tones when it comes to my lipstick. I only applied a little as I wasn’t too sure if it would suit me at first, so I wanted to leave it looking subtle. It was effective and I will definitely be using this product again. And maybe I’ll even venture into buying different coloured ones in the future.

Rimmel London 60 Seconds Super Shine by Rita Ora (£2.99 each)
I bought the shades ‘Bestival Blue’ and ‘Rain Rain Go Away’ of this nail polish - the first being a lovely blue shade, and the latter being a nude shade. I haven’t actually tried these yet, but I bought a few of these for my friend for her birthday and she said they’re great. I love nail polishes A LOT (as you all know I own a lot of Essence nail polishes) and so I am really excited about trying these and creating different looks and matching them with various outfits.

Superdrug Bronzing Brush (£2.99)
Another brush to add to my collection. I don’t like paying loads for my brushes as I find that cheaper ones (especially ones from Wilko) are just as good quality. I knew that this brush would be good quality if it was created by Superdrug, and I was not wrong. It is a smaller brush than a lot of other bronzer brushes you can get, but I feel like it is the perfect size for more control over the bronzer. I used to use a powder brush for my bronzer before as I haven’t used powder until just recently, so it’s nice to use a brush with the product it was designed for.

Rimmel London Stay Matte Pressed Powder Transparent (£3.99)
I have never really used powder before, but I saw so many people raving about it how using powder is so good, so I thought I would give it a try. I chose this one because, as I was ordering online, I didn’t know what shade I would need so I thought the transparent one would be safest. This is a brilliant powder. It is really easy to apply and, as the name suggests, it creates a matte look so it is great if you get a shiny face. I now use this product basically religiously everyday.

GOSH Roll On Eye Primer & Refresh (£7.99)
I have never used an eye primer before, but started to have problems with my eyeshadow not lasting as long as I wished it would, so I decided to buy this primer. I have heard good things about this brand, and so I thought this would be a brilliant product. And it really is a great product. It is lovely to apply, firming the eyelids and helping the eyeshadows to have a longer staying time.

I also received a free ‘#NoFilterNeeded’ make-up bag in pink (meaning I have both the pink and the blue now). I honestly do not know what I will use this for as I now have too many make-up bags and not enough make-up. Maybe another haul will sort out this problem out!

I hope you all enjoyed this post and I hope to be bringing you another haul post soon!

Thank you!
