Makeup: Minis vs Full Size

Hello you beauties!

I'm back with another makeup post for you all today and this time I have decided to discuss mini versions of full sized makeup items and why they can be beneficial.

Everyone always wants the full sized item of popular makeup items but often these can be very expensive and therefore a waste of money if you decide you don't like it. That's why I find the mini versions of products to be better value for money sometimes.

Yes, you still have to buy them and you might still consider it a waste of money if you don't like it, but wouldn't you rather waste £10 rather than £30 for example? If you decide you like the product after trying out the miniature version, you can then go and buy the more expensive full sized product and know that you will use it all not waste your well-earned money.

One brand that I personally believe is great for their mini versions of their products is Benefit and I own a few myself. I believe they're great value for money. I was lucky enough to be given a special offer where I bought 3 of the mini products for just £15 (Usually 3 for £25) in Boots when individually these minis cost over £10 each.

This offer has helped me to discover some of the best makeup products I have ever used and didn't break my bank! Benefit offers most of their products, especially the most popular ones, as mini products and I decided to buy the Rollerlash Mascara, Porefessional Primer and Hoola Bronzer.

The Rollerlash Mascara mini really is tiny but it is such a good mascara! Not the best mascara I have ever used (I definitely prefer Maybelline mascaras still) and I probably wouldn't buy the full sized item at £20.50 as I have many mascaras that I like more that are also a lot cheaper but I am glad to have been able to try this mascara as it definitely would be worth the money.

The Porefessional Primer definitely has become my favourite primer of all time now and the only reason I haven't yet bought the full sized item is because I still have primers I got in beauty boxes that are quite good and I want to use before I buy any more. Once I do run out of my primers though, my go to one will definitely be the Porefessional one because, even though it is pricey at £26, it does it's job so why not pay extra and know you're getting your monies worth?

The best purchase I made with this offer though was definitely the Hoola bronzer. The girl at the counter actually recommended this to me, saying that all you need is the mini version as it lasts ages. Now I don't usually use bronzers because most that I have found always become too orange when I use them or are too dark or too light for my skin. But this bronzer is honestly the best I've ever found and the girl definitely wasn't wrong. As it is more expensive than most bronzers, it is a lot more pigmented and so you only have to use the tiniest amount meaning the product lasts for so long! If I ever find that I run out of this mini bronzer, I will definitely buy the full size one (priced at £24.50) because I honestly think it'll be the only bronzer I ever have to buy again!

I do own a few mini versions of their newest brow products but I have not actually tried these because I got them either free in a magazine or in a beauty box and they're all actually too dark for me!

But I am very impressed with Benefit as a brand so I will definitely try the mini versions of anything they produce if I ever get the chance to.

Are there any mini products that you've tried and loved and think are worth the money? Then let me know as I'd love to try out your recommendations!

I'll be back next week with another post for you all.
Byeeee!
